2020 Ford Super Duty Concept Changes
Since its introduction in 1999, Ford’s Super Duty truck series has been the strongest offering above the Blue Oval line of trucks. Distinguished by the unique bodywork above the F-150 standard, and paired with heavy duty chassis and suspension components, this battery enables higher load and towing capacity. Although all new examples are introduced in 2016 for model year 2017, Ford has searched for the latest version.
The introduction of the Super Duty for the 1999 model marks the first time in Ford’s production history that the ¾ and 1 ton truck platforms are completely different from the F-150. Super Duty even broke away from the F-150 in the visible department, due to the different body lines and larger and bolder front ends distinguishing his performance from his ½-ton counterpart. The results of Ford’s move towards a commercial-grade truck and stylish soaring-this effectively revolutionized the heavy-duty pickup segment and Super Duty is one of the best-selling and most recognizable vehicles on the road today.
Our spy photographer recently captured the first prototype for 2019 as a 2020 model year, an F-450 Platinum trim test outside Ford headquarters near Dearborn, Michigan. While there may not be any dramatic revisions at a glance, it makes up for it with some simple updates under the hood and possibly in the cabin.
The new Super Duty will get a revised front fascia that includes new grid stuff and updated low vents, as well as new headlights and taillights. Apart from the fascia, most of the body will not change. Under the hood is where we’ll see more updates.

A new V8 is expected to join the ranks, as well as a new 10 speed automatic device brought from Raptor replaces the current six-speed TorqShift. The 6.2-liter V8 gas currently produces 385 horsepower (287 kilowatt) and 405 pound-feet (549 Newton-meters) of torque, while the 6.7-liter diesel option delivers 440 hp (328 kW) and 925 lb-ft (1,254 Nm ).
Details on the update are still bundled up to date, but we expect all the same trim levels to carry, ranging from XL to Platinum like the prototype pictured here. As far as price, expect a simple bump over the current MSRP.
2020 Ford Super Duty Engine Specs
Will Ford Super Duty get a 10-speed automatic transmission soon? A recent report describes plans for a Sharonville, Ohio manufacturing transmission facility to begin production of the 10R140 transmission (10-speed automatic duty version) in August 2019.
The Sharonville plant currently produces 6R140 transmission, a 6-speed automatic used in the current Ford Super Duty. The report states that the plant will invest in “extensive retooling” to start producing 10R140 in August 2019.
What do these codenames all mean: 6R140, 10R80, and 10R140? In 6R140, ‘6’ stands for six front gears / speed, ‘R’ stands for rear-wheel drive applications, and ‘140’ stands from a maximum input torque capacity of 1,400 N-m. 1,400 Newton meters convert to about 1,032 lb-ft of torque. The 6R140 transmission also refers to TorqShift, and you can find it on the Power Stage 6.7L Stoch V8-powered 2017 Super Duty.
10R80 is the new 10-speed automatic found in the Ford F-150 truck 2018, including the Ford Raptor. According to the codename translation, the 10R80 transmission is rated maximum (800 N-m) 590 lb-ft of input torque.
According to the report, the 10R140 transmission will be available in late 2019. This means it will most likely be featured in the Ford Super Duty 2020. Based on the transmission rating, the 2020 Ford Super Duty diesel can approach, but no more than 1,000 lb-ft of torque.
2020 Ford Super Duty Interior
Ford F-150 and will help the car to declare body weight is lighter than before. This is the reason for aluminum to bring Super Duty 2020. The car can help a lot, especially for the use of gasoline, towing potential and performance towing.
At this time, we need to survive in extra time for the right specifications. Speaking of redesign, the new version has an inspirational appeal that inspires the 2018 F-150, which means the car will retain the most with original design proposals, although the backyard really feels there still.
It seems the corporation wants to offer an evolutionary redesign that will emerge as another car. Well, it’s not necessarily surprising that the F-150 design especially gives the physical appearance previously in Super Duty with all the improvements in the vegetation to give more power with the new transmission.
Other enhancements incorporate new fronts using radiator grille and headlamps and guided rear lights. He can have a small place. However, it is slimmer than the existing products. Be the first truck with a regular safety shield of 2020 Ford Super Duty.
