2019 Ford F-250 Reviews and Rating

Since its introduction in 1999, Ford’s Super Duty truck series has been the strongest offering above the Blue Oval line of trucks. Distinguished by the unique bodywork with the F-250 standard, and paired with heavy duty chassis and suspension components, this battery allows higher load and towing capacity. Although all new examples are introduced in 2016 for model year 2017, Ford has searched for the latest version.

Our spy photographer recently captured the first prototype of the 2019 model year of an F-250 Platinum trim test outside Ford headquarters near Dearborn, Michigan. While there may not be any dramatic revisions at a glance, it makes up for it with some simple updates under the hood and possibly in the cabin.

With the new Ford F-Series Super Duty introduced in 2018, we do not expect significant changes to the 2019 F-250 pickup. Changes in the 2019 Ford F-Series Super Duty include new strong frames, bit drivetrain, and cab and pull hardware and an intensive aluminum box.

The Ford F-Series Super Duty comes packed with many new features including new active safety and propulsion technology (crash warning, automatic emergency braking, trailer sway control, adaptive cruise control, blind-point warning system covering trailers) as well as some camera towing and easier transport. In addition to the new features, Ford also provides Super Duty pickups that look more aggressive.

The 2019 Ford Super Duty series include a large spectrum of large pickup trucks including luxury luxury models, naked work trucks, towing cranes, and almost every step of the way.

It was redesigned last year to carry a large rig in accordance with Ford F-150’s most demanding light-duty model. Both trucks have similar cabins, trim levels and aluminum constructions, although the 2019 Super Duty series is willingly trading on the weight of lightweight metals to increase chassis strength, the F-150 sacrificing its weight on the fuel economy altar.

Ford Super Duty nets 7.3 are intoxicating on our overall scale, with two important caveats. First, Super Duty is not required to report fuel savings to the EPA, so we hold our rating there. Secondly, Super Duty is unlikely to be tested by IIHS anytime soon, so we also can not judge trucks safely. Our overall score reflects the four categories we can improve for Super Duty, and withholds from an average of two things we can not do.

A year removed from a complete redesign means Ford does not tamper with Super Duty formulas. It’s the same truck as last year, offered on XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum floors. Trucks XL and XLT are trucks that you can see parked at work, Lariat trucks are likely to be parked in the driveway, and the Super Junior version of King Ranch and Platinum will return to the work site, just in the foreman’s room.

2019 Ford F-250 Engine Specs

The new Ford F-250 2019 will get a revised front fascia that includes new lattice and updated low vents, as well as new headlights and taillights. Apart from the fascia, most of the body will not change. Under the hood is where we’ll see more updates.

A new V8 is expected to join the ranks, as well as a new 10 speed automatic device brought from Raptor replaces the current six-speed TorqShift. The 6.2-liter V8 gas currently produces 385 horsepower (287 kilowatt) and 405 pound-feet (549 Newton-meters) of torque, while the 6.7-liter diesel option delivers 440 hp (328 kW) and 925 lb-ft (1,254 Nm ).

Two engines in various powertrain configurations offer payload, towing, high mileage, or convenience configurations to suit any shopper. Reader’s Digest Version? The new 6.7-liter turodiesel is a long-haul and long haul, carry-carry 6.2-liter V-8 is king of charge and affordability. Choose wisely; Super Duty fully charged can be the same as the luxury car they like.

Ford also renewed diesel and diesel engine options. The 6.2-liter V-8 is rated 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, while the 6.7 liter V-8 Powerstroke turbodiesel produces 440 hp and 925 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

2019 Ford F-250 Release Date and Price

Details on the update are still bundled up to date, but we expect all the same trim levels to carry, ranging from XL to Platinum like the prototype pictured here. As far as pricing, expect a simple bump over the current MSRP, which starts at $ 32,535 for the XL F-250.
