2019 Ford Endeavor Facelift Review

Expect Ford to launch Endeavor facelift in India around the end of next year. Ford Australia is busy working on Ford Ranger and Everest updates, which are expected to be launched locally in 2018.

We can reveal the exclusive Ford Ranger XLT 2018 image, Ranger Wildtrak and Ford Endeavor undergoing testing in Victoria, showing a number of technological changes that are expected to put Ranger in front of the dual-cab ute package in Australia.

Ford Australia is currently working on two Ranger programs, described below. The first Ranger program is for US market vehicles. This Ford Ranger version sits on a modified version of the Ranger T6 platform that includes rear disc brakes, a possible coil-sprung suspension with Watt connections and a host of new engines.

The second Ranger program is for the Asia Pacific region. The program maintains the same T6 platform currently used in Ranger and includes a new front-end design, along with extra security features and technologies.

The vehicles depicted here will update Ranger PXII, which was launched locally in 2015. This update will maintain the same suspension and chassis settings as the current Ranger with limited changes to features, security and front-end design.

If you look closely, it’s easy to see what kind of Ford changes are expected to be made on the Ranger. And, if these images are something to go by, the dual-cab bucket manufacturer should be worried. We see things like:

A new radar / LIDAR module in the lower third of the front-end, which is expected to carry radar cruise control enhanced with autonomous emergency braking (AEB)An additional camera can be seen attached to the rearview mirror, which indicates that the stereo camera can be used for pedestrian and animal detection working in conjunction with AEB.

Keyless entry (visible from lock buttons visible on all doors), which may include a pushbutton LED daytime running lights (seen through camouflage parts) that mimic those offered on Endeavor An angular sonar sensor on the front bumper, usually used for semi automatic parking detection New front-end design with grille inspired by Ford F-150 Air relocation from the front of the cabin to the rear, including size reduction

2019 Ford Endeavor Engine Specs

From the engine side, it is unclear whether Ford will bother making changes, considering it is more a facelift and equipment renewal, not a new model. Ford will likely wait until a new Ranger platform is set up before designing a new driver option.

Ford may decide to make improvements to current bids to improve the economy and fuel power. One vehicle that has been ‘dyno done’ written on the windshield indicates a tone or calibration may occur.

The inclusion of AEB will make the Ford Ranger the only dual-cab utility in Australia to offer this technology. Even more impressive is the entry of pedestrians and animal detection.

Ford has a number of local engineers working on autonomous vehicle technology in Australia on the proof of What You Call. Its understood that the same people are currently working on applying this technology into the T6 platform. Ford Endeavor is expected to take on the same new front end as the Ranger, along with the drivetrain improvements.

2019 Ford Endeavor Interior

Ford, American car manufacturer has launched a new Endeavor SUV in the Indian market in 2014. The new model is now 3 years old marketed, and is planned to undergo a mid-day facelift. In fact, the company has begun testing the latest version of SUVs in Australia available as the Ford Everest. It is expected that the new 2015 Endeavor 2018 will be launched later this year or early next year.

As a reminder, this SUV is based on a Ranger pickup that will also get mid-cycle updates in the near future. It is also expected that the updated Endeavor will also go on sale in the North American market as a Bronco SUV. SUV mechanics tend to remain unchanged. It will get some tweaked styles and the changes will suit the larger SUV styles like Explorer and Expedition are sold in North America.

By adding it, the global version of Endeavor will also get automatic emergency braking (AEB) and radar-based cruise control. However, the Indian-spec model will not accept these high-end technology features. The vehicle can also get a slightly revised cabin. Under the hood, Endeavor 2018 will likely get the same engine with 2.2-liter and 3.2-liter diesel.
