2018 Ford Everest Facelift Update

The third generation Everest was relaunched in 2015, and so far has not been as successful as Ford had hoped. The main reason for that is the price. In Australia, the basic version of an inline-five diesel-powered car is over $ 55,000 that’s too much to make it. On top of that the Ford Everest is actually based on the Ranger so it’s not as good as a $ 55,000 SUV that should people tend to get a car-based crossover at this price point. To ease some of these problems, it seems that the update is on the way. Not long ago we have seen the first spy images of the 2018 Ford Everest dream gauge. The car looks more than just a slight facelift. Although covered by camouflage, this test mule clearly shows some interesting features of the upcoming car. For starters, it seems to be getting some more safety features than ever before.

As we have said, 2018 Ford Everest test mules wear camouflage on the front end. Even so, we can still see some characteristics of the design of the vehicle to come. It seems the car will receive a new headlamp with LED daytime running lights. It seems a bit slimmer and also similar to that received by previous European Ranger. The grille appears to be inspired by the revised Ranger as well while the bumper not only offers a larger intake but also the LIDAR right in the middle. Fog lamps look similar to current models, but the hood seems to offer a new fold that can give the car a stronger look than ever. The back has been left open which may indicate the addition of a new set of tail lights and that’s it.

2018 Ford Everest Engine Specs

It looks like nothing will change in terms of engines for the 2018 Ford Everest. The car will continue to drive the same two engines as before which are expected given how small these updates actually are. The basic model of this SUV will be equipped with a nice 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel for 160 horsepower and 385Nm of torque. A more powerful 3.2-liter in-line five-diesel with 200 horsepower and 470Nm of torque will also be available. Both engines will be equipped with six-speed automatic transmission as standard. The interesting part is that the Australian market will also receive a rear-wheel drive model and not just a four-wheel drive version. Some markets will also receive a new 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost inverter 4. It’s been rumored for a while now, and it seems to be about to happen. The engine should be a good upgrade to inline 4 that is naturally aspirated that is not strong and inefficient.

2018 Ford Everest Interior

The interior is still well wrapped up, but we do not expect major changes here. Ford Everest  will likely get the same dashboard design as before. The only real upgrade here is the addition of a new infotainment system. This can give you better hardware to make it sharper than ever. The material, a rather disappointing driving position and average overall feature set of cars will remain the same as before.

2018 Ford Everest Release date and Price

The ass ass has a front LIDAR normally used for adaptive cruise control systems. However, this can also be used for frontal collision warning and avoidance systems that allow Everest to brake itself in case of an accident. In addition, the ass ass also has two cameras under each rearview mirror. It is expected not only to be used for blind spot monitoring but also for animal detection systems.

This will allow Everest to detect animals on the roadside and make it easier for drivers to avoid accidents. The price of the car is still unknown, but we expect the price to go down. Given the starting point of the current model, the car should get cheaper at least $ 5,000 to be viable for the Australian market. Ford is expected to release a new generation of Everest at the end of the year while the production version of the car will be out in early 2018.
